Join us for the OPTAIN Pannonian Regional Dialogue Conference on 22 May 2025, a hybrid event hosted in Budapest (Hungary) and aligned with the International Desertification and Drought Day.

Regional dialogues will explore how Natural/Small Water Retention Measures (NSWRMs) can enhance agricultural resilience to extreme weather events while focusing on drought.

Organised by the HUN-REN Centre for Agricultural Research and the General Directorate of Water Management, the conference brings together policymakers, researchers, practitioners, and civil society to share knowledge and present research and practical applications of NSWRMs, while discussing the alignment of EU and national water and land management policies.
